Panic Attack Cures For Those Who Suffer

If you suffer from anxiety panic attacks you are probably hoping there is an instant cure. Unfortunately there isn’t. The situations that cause panic attacks differ for everyone. Some people get them when in a social situation, others get them while driving their car, at work…just about anywhere. It’s important to pinpoint what causes your anxiety panic attacks so that you can then work on managing them.

What Are Panic Attacks?

So what is a panic attack? For those who may not know what a panic attack is, it’s not a pleasant feeling. The most common symptoms of panic attacks include rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, nausea, and just an intense feeling of panic…an unbelievable, overpowering emotion of anxiety and fear. You would have all experienced some form of panic at some stage. For example, going to school, starting a new job, an almost near miss car accident, fear of the unknown in the night, the ‘What was that?’ when you hear a blood curdling sound…That’s essentially what it feels like to have a ‘little’ panic attack.

Now think of the most panicked you’ve ever been in your life and then think of having that feeling during normal, every day situations and you’ll know ‘almost’ understand what it is like to suffer from panic attacks on a regular basis. If you have never had one…please don’t say to someone…”What are you panicking about?”

The Causes of Panic Attacks

If you’ve been suffering from panic attacks for some time, you likely know what situations cause them. Maybe you get panicked whenever you’re talking to someone attractive or maybe you get them whenever your boss hands you work beyond your usual workload. Whatever it is, make sure you concentrate on that situation so that you can find out why you get panicked whenever said situation happens.

Only you can determine the underlying cause or triggers of your panic attacks. Really think hard to see if you can remember the first time you felt a panic attack in that situation. It’s likely that soon you’ll come up with a reason why the attacks happen and when that happens, you’ll be much better prepared to fix it.

Curing The Attacks

If you were able to determine the underlying cause of your panic attacks, the best thing you can do is enter the very situation that causes them. That’s right. Enter the situation head on while practicing deep breathing exercises or by concentrating on being confident. This is going to take a lot of practice and you may very well fail the first few times. However, if you do this often enough, you’ll soon be able to enter that situation without suffering a panic attack and very soon overcome your anxiety and panic attacks naturally.
