Anxiety had always been a problem for me, mainly social anxiety. Although not diagnosed, I know I also have a mild case of obsessive compulsive disorder. (Although I just tell people I can’t help being fussy.)
Over the years I have learned many anxiety relief techniques and I want to share them with you.
My Own Anxiety Disorder
I didn’t realize that my anxiety disorder was the reason for my recurring stomach-aches, heart palpitations and migraines that I suffered with all these years. I look back at my life and I am sure I know when it all began. I should have been diagnosed in my teens as having PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) but neither my parents or doctors ever asked me what I was afraid of!

Everyone thought I was just a nervous, shy girl.
As I grew up social events became terrifying. Going to parties or special events became a nightmare. I always tried to make up an an excuse not to go. Lucky for me, my husband had also gone through stages in his early life where he too questioned his own mental health problems.
We soon became interested in learning more about our triggers and how it affected our emotions…anxiety, depression, stress…who hasn’t felt these emotions? Everyone has, it’s just unfortunate some of us experience them on a daily basis.
So in 2008 that was when we began researching natural treatments and therapies for mental health issues, so that we could heal ourselves and provide some anxiety relief to our lives. As we researched, so this website began. We wrote articles on our findings and reviewed natural anxiety treatments.
I do not hold any university diplomas in mental health or profess to be qualified in any medical field. I am just an anxiety sufferer that has learned to manage their social anxiety issues.
- I have now become expert in healing myself and I feel that is better than any qualification I could claim to hold.
I actually looked at obtaining a psychology degree so that I could claim to be a professional…but it was 6 years of 20 hours a week study and many thousands of dollars. So you will have to put up with me being an anxiety sufferer that has learned how to live anxiety free!
