If you suffer from anxiety of any kind, then it’s likely that you have also suffered with anxiety depression, which is a form of depression brought about by the anxiety that you feel you cannot control. When you suffer from anxiety, it is often difficult not to feel as if you’re falling into depression because it can be exhausting when you are trying to struggle with your anxiety all the time. You need to know that you are not the only person out there who suffers with anxiety depression and you are not alone.

So, how does anxiety depression differ from regular depression? It doesn’t, except the cause of your depression isn’t a chemical imbalance or bi-polar disorder, the cause of your depression is the constant anxiety you feel over everything. Dealing with anxiety can leave you feeling as if you are not in control of any part of your life. It’s likely that you worry about falling down the stairs, even though you have no stairs in your home. Maybe you lie awake at night worrying about what that comment your boss made the other day meant and how it will affect you. For many anxiety sufferers, the inability to ease the nervousness and racing thoughts can cause a fall into depression.

This is especially true for people who suffer from extreme bouts of anxiety or panic attacks, which can leave us not wanting to live our daily lives and this in turn will cause anxiety depression because we can’t go out and have fun or spend time out of our own home in case we feel that we are going to have a panic attack. Anxiety depression can affect anyone who suffers from high amounts of anxiety and it can hit at any time. Left untreated, this can cause a person to sink even further into depression because of their isolation.

Many experts are finding that the best way to treat anxiety depression is to treat the anxiety and the resulting depression will go away. As a person who suffers with anxiety begins to feel their fear fading, they will begin to feel more self confident and happy. The key with anxiety depression is to break the cycle of anxious thinking and heal the depression that goes with it.

If you suffer with anxiety depression, then it’s time to stop living with it alone. Your friends and family may not be able to help you because they don’t know what you’re going through, but therapy and other methods may be just what you need to help you ease your anxious thoughts and end your depression for good.
